Khan Abul Kalam Azad was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh on March 24, 1960. His father was Md. Abul Hossain Khan and mother was Mrs. Salina Hossain Khan. Prof. Azad attended Dhaka Medical College, country's most prestigious medical school, and achieved MBBS in 1983. In 1991, Prof. Azad earned his fellowship in medicine from Bangladesh College of Physician and Surgeons (BCPS). In 1999, he also
earned M.D. in internal medicine from University of Dhaka. He became fellow of American college of physician in 2005. He joined as Professor of medicine in 2008. During his long teaching tenure, unique style, passion for teaching, profound affection for students made Prof. Azad a very popular teacher. He is now the head of
the department of medicine as well as the Principal of Dhaka Medical College, his own alma mater.
Nasima Sultan is a Dean of Faculty of Medicine, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is the Professor and Head of the Departmental of Department of Biochemistry, Dhaka Medical College, Dhaka, Bangladesh since May 2012 and Member of curriculum development and up gradation(2012) for undergraduate courses for the Biochemistry section. She has experience in teaching for Twenty years both under & postgraduate course at different medical colleges and conducting research activities. She has supervised more than 40 thesis papers of postgraduate students andpublished more than 30 original articles in different International & National journals as principal author and coauthor.
Associate Professor Ahmad Saedisomeolia is currently working as Head of Department of
Cellular and Molecular Nutrition/Vice-dean for Education in School of Nutritional Sciences and
Dietetics, Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS). He received his PhD on Nutrition
from the University of Newcastle, Australia. And then got fellowship from Western Sydney
University. He has completed his MSPH from TUMS. He has 40 publications around cellular
and molecular nutrition. Dr. Saedisomeolia is awarded by Singapore Ministry of Health. He is working for European Union (EuropeAid) to develop the nutrition curricula. Ahmad also
works as the chairman for Merck for its conferences.
